Via TSN (The Sports Network – Canada), Breaking Down Barriers is a 12-part series that highlights and focuses on the people and organizations working to change hockey culture and make the game more accessible. One of my favorites so far has been “Breaking Hockey’s Glass Ceiling” with Lindsay Pennal, Kirsten Welsh, Jessica Campbell of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and Alexandra Mandrycky of the Seattle Kraken. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the initiatives supported by the National Hockey League (NHL)/NHLPA Female Hockey Advisory Committee.
